PIRANA

By: JAGUAR | BERTONE

The PIRANA was commissioned by John Anstey, publisher of the English Weekend Telegraph. He insisted the car be built from production parts and eliminated any custom parts or fabrication. The car was required to meet all existing safety requirements and equipped with all the E-Type Jaguar amenities. The majority of the design work was by Nuccio Bertone and his main designer Marcello Gandini. The PIRANA was shown at the 1967 Earls Court Motor  Show, it never went into full production and was exhibited to the public on special occasions.
